What Is Lumibricks?
Lumibricks sells brick building sets with lighting built into the design. The brand describes itself as "The First to Combine Light & Building Blocks", and each set comes with LED lights that are made for Lumibricks sets. The range is organised into themed collections, including Cyberpunk NeonCity, Town Life, Street Fusion, Retro House and a licensed Blade Runner 2049 line, with steampunk, medieval and western train sets elsewhere in the catalogue. The site also runs a Christmas page with holiday builds such as the Christmas Pub ($119.99).
Lumibricks also groups sets by build size, which is helpful when you are buying a gift:
- Enjoy the Build: sets under 1,000 pieces
- Explore the Details: sets from 1,000 to 2,000 pieces
- Take on the Challenge: sets with more than 2,000 pieces
Lumibricks vs Funwhole: Are They the Same?
Many shoppers still search for Funwhole. Typing funwhole.com into a browser now redirects to lumibricks.com, so Funwhole sets and Lumibricks sets are sold through the same official store. If you have an older Funwhole set, check the Lumibricks site for manuals and replacement parts.
Best Lumibricks Sets and Prices
These are some of the sets Lumibricks features most prominently on its homepage and best-sellers collection. Prices are the regular US prices listed on lumibricks.com; no compare-at or sale price was shown at the time of writing.
Edinburgh Corner (15021) - $159.99
Part of the Town Life collection. Lumibricks lists 3,178 blocks, 15 LEDs, 41 printed bricks and 4 minifigures, making it one of the larger builds in the range and a good fit for the "Take on the Challenge" crowd.
Detective's Office (17018) - $139.99
A Cyberpunk-theme set with 2,134 blocks, 19 LEDs and 50 printed bricks, according to the product listing. The high LED count suits anyone who wants a display piece that looks best with the room lights off.
NeonCity Exchange (17012) - $129.99
Another Cyberpunk build, listed with 1,902 blocks, 17 LEDs and 21 printed bricks. It sits in the 1,000 to 2,000 piece "Explore the Details" range.
Explorer Treehouse (10016) - $124.99
From the Retro House collection, with 2,466 blocks, 14 LEDs, 26 printed bricks and 3 minifigures listed by the brand.
Football Fan Pub (20008) - $109.99
An X Series set with 1,813 blocks, 15 LEDs and 76 printed bricks. It is one of the lower-priced options among the featured sets.
Balcony Theatre - $149.99
A 2,445-piece build listed in the Town Life collection and the best-sellers list. If you like street-scene displays, it pairs naturally with the other Town Life sets.
Lumibricks Price Table
| Set | Theme | Pieces | LEDs | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Edinburgh Corner (15021) | Town Life | 3,178 | 15 | $159.99 |
| Balcony Theatre | Town Life | 2,445 | Not listed | $149.99 |
| Detective's Office (17018) | Cyberpunk | 2,134 | 19 | $139.99 |
| NeonCity Exchange (17012) | Cyberpunk | 1,902 | 17 | $129.99 |
| Explorer Treehouse (10016) | Retro House | 2,466 | 14 | $124.99 |
| Football Fan Pub (20008) | X Series | 1,813 | 15 | $109.99 |
If you want something smaller, the best-sellers list also includes Newsstand and Ranger Camp at $34.99 each, the Police Patrol Car (372 pieces) at $36.99 and Future Bus (605 pieces) at $39.99. At the top end, Train Station and Film Studio Tower are listed at $199.99 each.
Lumibricks vs LEGO: Price and Format Compared
"Lumibricks vs LEGO" is one of the most common searches for the brand, usually from adults comparing large display builds. The table below uses only figures published on each brand's own site. LEGO's US prices come from lego.com; the Shopping Street price is the launch price LEGO announced for the set.
| Set | Brand | Pieces | Lighting | Listed US price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Edinburgh Corner (15021) | Lumibricks | 3,178 | 15 LEDs included | $159.99 |
| Balcony Theatre | Lumibricks | 2,445 | Lighting built into the design | $149.99 |
| LEGO Icons Shopping Street (11371) | LEGO | 3,456 | Not mentioned in LEGO's listing | $249.99 |
| LEGO Icons Jazz Club (10312) | LEGO | 2,899 | Not mentioned in LEGO's listing | $229.99 (shown as sold out) |
The main format difference is lighting: Lumibricks builds the LEDs into every set, while LEGO's pages for these modular buildings do not list lights among their features. LEGO labels both sets 18+. Piece counts are comparable, so the practical choice comes down to theme, whether you want lighting in the box, and which system your existing collection uses.
Lumibricks vs Briksmax
Briksmax is a different kind of product. It sells lighting kits designed for existing LEGO sets, such as the Light Kit for Downton Abbey 21373 at $75.99 or the Light Kit for Holiday House 11387 at $42.99, according to its site. The Briksmax site describes the kits as adding light to your brick-built creations; the bricks themselves are the LEGO set you already own or buy separately. Briksmax lists free shipping on orders of $69 or more. Lumibricks, by contrast, sells the bricks and the lights together in one box, and does not state a US free-shipping threshold.
| Point | Lumibricks | Briksmax |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | Complete brick set with LEDs | Light kit for a LEGO set |
| Example price | Holiday build Christmas Pub: $119.99 | Light Kit for Holiday House 11387: $42.99 |
| Free shipping | No US threshold stated | Orders $69+ |
How to Choose a Lumibricks Set
- Pick by piece count first. Under 1,000 pieces is a relaxed build, 1,000 to 2,000 is a solid weekend project and 2,000+ is for experienced builders.
- Pick a theme you can expand. Town Life and Cyberpunk each have several buildings, so you can create a street over time.
- Check the LED count. Lumibricks lists the number of LEDs on each product page, which tells you how much of the model lights up.
- Look at the "Retiring Soon" collection. Lumibricks keeps a page for sets that are leaving the range, which is worth checking before Black Friday if you have a favourite.
- Download the manual first. Lumibricks posts instruction PDFs on its site, so you can see the build before buying.
Lumibricks Promo Code for Your First Order
The closest thing to a Lumibricks promo code for a first order is the newsletter welcome offer. Lumibricks advertises "Get 10% OFF" for signing up to its email list, and the offer arrives by email. Create a Rewards account at the same time to collect 100 bonus points. Because codes do not stack, use the welcome offer on your largest order, where 10% saves the most: on the $159.99 Edinburgh Corner that is about $16.

Where to Buy Lumibricks
The official store at lumibricks.com is the place where the brand's own terms apply: the newsletter offer, Rewards points (earned on official-site orders), the 2-year warranty and the free replacement-parts service described above. Lumibricks sets also appear with third-party sellers, but those sellers set their own prices, shipping and return rules, so the official-site benefits may not apply.
Lumibricks Black Friday 2026
Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November 2026. Lumibricks has not announced its 2026 sale dates or offers yet, and no Black Friday wording appears on its site today. If a Lumibricks Black Friday code or sale goes live, we will add it to our store page with the exact terms. Until then, joining the newsletter and the Rewards program now means you will have your 10% welcome offer and points ready.

Lumibricks Review Checklist: Is Lumibricks Worth It?
If you are searching for a "Lumibricks review" or asking "is Lumibricks worth it", the useful facts are these: the sets are priced from $34.99 for small builds to $199.99 for the largest, lighting is part of each design, and you get a 2-year warranty and free replacement parts. Against LEGO's large modular buildings, the featured Lumibricks sets list lower prices for similar piece counts and include LEDs in the box; against a Briksmax light kit, you buy a complete set rather than lights for a set you already own. Before buying, check the piece count, the LED count, where the set ships from and the 30-day return terms, since return shipping is on you for non-quality returns.
